Pray4Tshwane

A Unity movement for prayer in the city.

Over the last 12 months a process was started to initiate a unity movement in Tshwane called Pray4Tshwane, aimed at bringing praying believers together to build relationships and gather periodically to intercede specifically for our city.

This initiative seeks to connect believers across Tshwane, regardless of background, denomination, or church affiliation. Love Tshwane—one of the city’s pastoral unity networks—has given their full support for this movement and they are committed to encouraging believers and intercessors to take part. Our prayer is that the regular gathering of praying believers in the city will grow and spread widely, and not be limited by only reaching a few established church movements or structures.

We believe this is a significant season in the kingdom, where unity in prayer is vital to empowering breakthroughs, fostering revival, and helping realize God’s divine purposes for city governance, the church in Tshwane, and the city as a whole.

This movement also seeks to complement the incredible work already being done by many strong churches and ministries in our city. Although previous attempts at collaboration among praying believers have been limited, we sense that God has opened a window of opportunity to make this possible in this season.

Pray4Tshwane has committed to hosting four gatherings in 2026, bringing together believers and intercessors from all backgrounds with the sole purpose of praying for the city and aligning with God’s kingdom agenda for the capital of South Africa.

Pray4Tshwane will invite local pastors, ministry and youth leaders as well as intercession leaders to co-host the different corporate gatherings in different parts of our city.
